HELP BROKEN BONES HEAL! PRETTY PICTURE NEEDS YOU! I have only been here on Earth ten short months. In that time I have suffered the loss of a home. I ended up in a scary high-kill rural shelter where animals disappear every day never to be seen again. It isnt their fault. There are TOO MANY ANIMALS born and not enough homes. The first few days were really rough and I wasnt sure if I would survive. I wasnt only scared, but I was in pain. I broke my femur somehow on my way to the shelter. I cant remember what happened. Maybe a car hit me? Maybe a person hit me? I just dont know... But my luck has changed! Furkids staff visited my shelter and picked me! They want to help me feel better and find a new family. I am so excited my beagle body is wiggling all over, but my leg still hurts. They named me Pretty Picture isnt that cute!?! I like it! I visited a veterinarian this weekend to have a pretty picture of my leg taken. You can see the break below. I am having surgery today. I am nervous, but these people at Furkids seem REALLY nice and I know I will be OK in their hands. After the surgery I will have some plates and metal in my leg. I guess I cant be an airport security dog... My surgery will cost $1,500 - that is A LOT of kibble. There are so many other dogs and cats I met at the shelter that need help.
