HELP, FACE BOOK CHALLENGE. Today was not a normal day. My friend - TopicsExpress

HELP, FACE BOOK CHALLENGE. Today was not a normal day. My friend Charolotte watched my store and gave me the opportunity to help another individual in need. For years I have helped 3 families in need, different ones, every year with their Christmas. Last year one of my families had a six year girl who had never had a Christmas tree. I purchase trees every year, ornament and gift and assemble them for these families, with the assistance of names from churches and the CCC. This year I met an individual who is a business owner who has fallen into hard times with his establishment and sank into a depression. This has gone for I will guess more than a year. To all reading, overlooking these people and giving up is not an option. People in the community have all been down this individual. With the disappointment and feeling of failure, the store has also fallen into a state of demise and neglect. The purpose of this post is an answer that should be applied to life. I could have agreed and judged and turned my head but I decided to take a different approach. Astrid and I offered to come in and do his widow presentations for him at no charge. We peeled away the months of road dirt and webs and brought a sense of hope and holiday spirit to this establishment. Furniture was placed, the tree was assembled and the Ray of Hope and change was bright. We are all living in hard, depressing times. What happened to the time when communities and people cared enough to pick up the falling. Being mindful with all my jobs, some are appreciated, some are expected and some are not maintained or appreciated. Today I gave time and hope to someone who is loosing the pursuit of promise. If it is not received or truly appreciated, I gave of my heart and that is the reason of giving, with a full heart. We will be returning to work more on the merchandising to improve the image of the store. Where is the other hearts of a community when they condem and complain but are not willing to aid in a change. Guidance, assurance and encouragement can change a life, not only the one in need but the individuals in need. Though my store only made $8.72 today, I received a different wealth many have forgotten. Society is focussed more and more on wealth and selfish gain and leaving the traditional values of others. Helping others, feeling for others....passion.......understanding.....kindness. Where are as a society when we do not count others feelings and positions as important as we do our own. People use to bind together to aid, not out of obligation, but out of human kindness. Many today feel they are better and do not have to speak or recognize someone who are not worthy of them. We are changing and failing in our purpose as the times continue to worsen and I am challenging everyone who reads this post, to feel compassion to others. I AM CHALLENGING YOU to find someone in need and help give them hope and promise for a brighter tomorrow. I am not referring to a friend a but one who you hear of of search for. Give of yourself in time and more if you are able. One persons sight on life can be affected by you positive influence. Though times are hard, there are others going through worse, embrace their struggle and their pain and help, not turn your back, judge or overlook. This could become you. Give the holiday spirit of yourself and hep encourage or possibly save someone. This is what we are hear for. This is the Christian thing to do. Look to yourself and put selfishness aside and help, assist, teach, influence and teach if necessary, the hope that could change a life. HAPPY HOLIDAYS SHAWN BENNETT TOO YOU NIQUE
