#HELP MICKEL - A0992296 @ the Manhattan NY High-Kill Shelter Beautiful English Setter boy IN BIG TROUBLE!! PLEASE READ ALL: Mickel has been at the shelter since 2/22 on DOH (Dept of Health) hold. Well, his hold time at ACC is now up & they want to kill him. Mickel came in with bite wounds of an unknown origin on his legs. Because his vaccination history is not known, the DOH requires that he be kept in quarantine for 6 months, to make sure he didn’t catch anything from the animal that bit him. We all know ACC is not going to keep a dog in their shelter for 6 months. Now that their hold time is up, they will euthanize him, unless a rescue can take over his quarantine for another 5 months. Posh Pets Rescue’s vet has room for Mickel & can safely quarantine him for the remainder of his hold, but to do so, they need help with funds. Mickel is a good dog, who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. He should not die because another animal bit him. Please click on his picture and pledge on his main thread if you can help..
