**HELP SAVE THE SCIO BUCKAROOS** 2013 has been a hard year for the Scio Buckaroos. Membership is down, attendance is down and participation is down. We just had a monthly meeting on October 4th and there were only six members who attended. Normally we form a nominating committee at the October meeting, to find nominees for the 2014 officer and board member positions. However, this year we do not have very many members to consider for candidacy. According to the by-laws, a candidate must have attended three meetings during the year and be members in good standings. Sadly, many of our current members do not meet the criteria and the ones who do, are simply tired. The bottom line is that our club is in jeopardy!!! If there is nobody to run the club, there is NO club. It has been suggested that the club disband and we hand over ownership of the property to another non-profit club. Please do not let this happen!! We are calling a special meeting to be held on Sunday, October 20th at 2:00pm at the clubhouse. Everyone and anyone is invited who wants to HELP SAVE THE SCIO BUCKAROOS. We will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages. If you are interested in becoming a new member now is the time to speak up! If you are a current member and wish to save your club, now is the time to speak up!!! This will be our final effort to keep a great club running. October 20th will decide our fate. If attendance is low and we cannot come up with a plan, the club will either sit idle or will disband altogether and what has been part of the community since 1955 will be gone.
