Because the farmer is putting the peaches in two layers per lug people can easily share. They are hand picked and hand packed in the boxes. They are good for freezing and canning. The peaches will come in a two layer assortment pack like this. The peach sizes will vary from small to large (36 count and up per lug). The lugs are approx 20-22 pounds per lug. Each lug is $35.00. There are coming from a third generation family orchard, which is located by the Columbia River, where the peaches are carefully grown. With an average annual rainfall of only 8 inches this creates an ideal climate for amazing peaches. The fruit is hand-picked into small buckets instead of bins allowing fruit to mature to peak sugar levels prior to harvest. Washington peaches are unique in their own way.
