HERES THE BIG NEWS!!!!!!!!!!! After two years of laying the groundwork, I am happy to announced that The Davies Project for Mid-Michigan Children is up and running! This is a project I have been involved with since its beginning and I am pleased by the positive impact I know it is going to have on so many families right here in Lansing, Michigan. The mission of the project is to provide community-based, non-medical support to local families with chronically ill children. Its first goal is to provide rides as needed to children’s subspecialty appointments, and home again. This will be the main focus for the first few years. Our website and Facebook page are now available to the public. Please check us out and share the good news! We want as many people as possible to learn about us. If you are in the Lansing area and so inclined, we are looking for additional volunteers to drive patients and will soon be holding our first volunteer training session. The necessary forms to apply can be found on the website. We also need donations! While we wait for grant requests to come through and prepare for our first fundraiser, we are relying on donations to keep us afloat. Paypal makes it easy at our website.
