HERMÈS LENDS A HAND: ACCESSORIZING FOR A WORTHY CAUSE BY KYLIE MINOGUE The limited-edition Circuit 24 Faubourg Hermès scarf is not only beautiful, but it also helps support the Imagine Institute, which is a research center for genetic diseases. This unique center for research and innovative care was founded in Paris in 2007 by Professor Claude Griscelli, and is headed by Professor Alain Fischer, a pioneer in gene therapy. Although it cares for people of all ages, much of the work is focused on helping children. As the arduous work of research continues, there is excitement because a new state-of-the-art building has been designed by architects Jean Nouvel and Bernard Valero; it will open in Paris in January 2014 and house 450 of the world’s leading scientists . My friend artist Katerina Jebb works with the Imagine Foundation and asked me to help. I recently met Karine Rossignol, who is director of projects and development and works devotedly for the cause. Learning of the passion and dedication that goes into Imagine was most inspiring. Katerina took this photo of me in her apartment in Paris wearing the only scarf currently in existence. I love it and have placed an order for my own. You can do the same here: [email protected]. Or order by phone before November 30, +33 1 40 61 54 21. Proceeds go directly to research for future cures! Congratulations to Imagine and Hermès on a beautiful project for a most worthwhile cause.
