HEY EVERYONE! So Ive come across a few people who are looking for bikes to use. There are a couple different options. First of all, if anyone has an extra bike they are willing to loan to a bikeless friend for the day, could you please say so below? Some other options include Nashville B-cycle and Green Fleet Bikes, which will rent bicycles out to you for the day. Nashville B-cycle are those red bikes with the baskets you see people riding around everywhere. There is one bike station in East Nashville, which is on 11th street in five points in the parking lot of Beyond the Edge across the street from Bongo Java and that hot dog stand. This station only has six bikes for rent. The way that works is you will go to the pay station the day of Tour de Fun and buy a 24 hour pass for $5, which will include one free hour. You will be charged $1.50 for every half hour after that first hour that you keep the bike. The max they will charge you for the 24 hours is $45. When youre done using the bike, return it to that same bike station in five points. Green Fleet Bikes rents (apparently very nice) bikes out on both a per day and per 24 hour basis. Theyve got hybrid bikes at $35 per day or $45 per 24 hours and road bikes at $55 per day and $65 per 24 hours.
