HH CHALLENGES LUNGU TO ATTEND THE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE. 29 December 2014 In light of the current confusion as to whether Hon Edgar Lungu will attend the Presidential debate hosted by the Economics Association of Zambia (EAZ) and scheduled for 30 December 2014, we call on Hon Lungu to clearly, quickly and publicly state whether he will attend. From our understanding the PF Secretary-General Davies Chama has committed to the EAZ that Hon Edgar Lungu will attend tomorrow’s debate. However, this agreement directly conflicts with reports from Emmanuel Mwamba shared this morning that Lungu is campaigning in Northern Province and will no longer attend the debate. The proposed debate will only serve its purpose if the main contenders If true, Lungu’s late reversal is disrespectful to the other candidates and the EAZ who all have busy schedules.
