HIDALGO COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE CONDUCTS MURDER INVESTIGATION Edinburg, TX - The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for suspects involved in a murder case. According to investigators, at approximately 11:00pm on Saturday, July 5, 2014, deputies responded to the area of Ivory Street and Hoehn Road in Edinburg in reference to an injured male requesting assistance. Deputies searched the area and located a deceased male with a gunshot wound inside the residence. Preliminary autopsy reports reveal the cause of death to be from a gunshot wound. The motive is unknown at this time as the investigation continues to unfold. According to authorities, several suspects were seen fleeing from the location in a red 1980’s model extended cab pick-up truck with a step side. The suspects reportedly entered the victim’s home and shot him. At this moment, authorities are not revealing the victim’s identity.
