HIGH SCHOOL DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS 10/28/13 This Week’s Schedule: 10/28 – 11/1 Mon: B Block - Mid-Terms (per. 7 & 5) Tues: A Block - Mid-Terms (per. 1 & 6) Wed: B Block - Mid-Terms (per. 3) Thu: No School – Fear Not Fest Fri: A Block Next Week’s Schedule: 11/4 – 11/8 Mon: B Block Tues: A Block Wed: B Block Thu: A Block Fri: B Block • Library: Will close at 3pm today. • GLOW: There will be no meeting tomorrow, 10/29 due to mid-terms. • Passing the Sword: Is Wednesday, 10/30 at lunch in Pastor Andrew’s Room. You will receive your Bible and encouragement for this year. • Mid-Terms: Monday, 10/28 – 7th & 5th, Tuesday, 10/29 – 1st & 6th, Wednesday, 10/30 – 3rd. Please note that on Monday and Tuesday your classes are in a different order; the Mid-Term schedule was email blasted to parents. • Fall Fundraiser: Those who did not participate will be billed the Buy-Out Fee. • Veteran’s Day Celebration, November 8: HS students and staff are being asked to wear solid white shirts on Friday, 11/8 for the Veteran’s Day Celebration. The Elem will be in blue, MS in Red and we want HS to be in white. Let’s come together to remember our Veterans. • Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Scholarship for High School Seniors: The Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors each year. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, and their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. It is our privilege to award over $3 million annually in scholarships to these young leaders. Current high school seniors with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA may apply using the following link through October 31: coca-colascholarsfoundation.org/applicants For additional information about this scholarship and profiles of past recipients, please visit our website at coca-colascholarsfoundation.org. • Homecoming Programs: Purchase this years keepsake Homecoming Program for $5 in the HS Office; copies are still available. • Fear Not Fest (FNF) Candy Drive: Now through Tuesday, 10/29, you can earn Spirit Points for your class by bringing in a bag of candy. Students can turn candy in to the following teachers: 9th Grade-Pastor Andrew, 10th Grade-Miss Perkins, 11th Grade-Mrs. Ramirez and 12th Grade-Mr. Jahnkow. • Fear Not Fest Volunteers 10/31: Students can earn SMR Credit (community service) by helping set up for the Fear Not Fest. You must do 2 hours of service; shifts are 12-2pm., 2-4pm., and 4-6pm. There is a signup sheet in the office. FROM THE ATHLETIC OFFICE • Girls Soccer Practice: For today has been cancelled. Practice will resume tomorrow. • Attention All Athletes Interested in Winter Sports: If you missed the interest meeting and if you are still interested in going out for any winter sport: Wrestling, Girls Basketball or Soccer, and Boys Basketball or Soccer. Please make your way to the Athletic Office during lunch, break, or after school to put your name on the interest sheet, as parent meetings will be announced soon and we want you to be included.
