HINDUSTAN TIMES FOR DOLTS?? Glad to know that Hindustan Times is also for dolts and preschool children. The obituary on VC Shukla datelined Bhopal has the intro ‘Few know that Vidya Charan Shukla, the 84-year-old veteran Congressman, was also the man who locked down the press during the Emergency (Really?). A close aide of Sanjay Gandhi, Shukla imposed press censorship with an unusual zeal cutting electric supply to various printing and monitoring almost every printed story (My God!). But his most famous act had nothing to do with the Indian Press, but with Bollywood (Oh! Was just not aware of the fact).
