HIS EXCELLENCY GOVERNOR KASHIM SHETTIMA A SENSIBLE AND PRACTICAL LEADER Governor Kashim Shettima’s approach to governance is realistically addressing the fears and concerns of the citizens of the state in a more compassionate, benevolent and sensible way. One can really imagine the life of the people who live in an atmosphere in which they are emotionally distressed, economically emasculated and forcefully made to become weaker in power, resolve, and physical strength but for the confidence and inspirational leadership of Honourable Kashim Shettima whose mantra is strong people live to overcome their difficulties the state should have been in tatters if left under the hands of political neophytes. There is no doubt that Governor Kashim Shettima has been able to deliver on most of his campaign promises and is genuinely committed to restore peace in Borno State and Nigeria at as whole. His record of performance testifies to his high level of dexterity in politics. It is also particularly noted that the opportunity experienced by the excitement brought about by the current development requires the tempo and structure that has been cleverly put in place by the Kashim Shettima administration. We must praise the practical energy, zeal and determination of the KSM team that is working together to advance our shared progressive political, social and economic ideals that has remarkably improved the general well being of the people of our state. The numerous positive changes in polices and general attitudes of the KSM team is seen as a strong indication of the presence of highly required development and an affirmation of moving the mechanisms of the state administration. It was his idea as outlined in his plans that the situation he found the state must improve and we are fortunate to have a determined politician who matches his words with action. This support and recognition of excellence by the governor has been a strong motivation for the successes recorded by the government. That is why many people in Borno State have been expressing their satisfaction to the Borno State government for making significant impact in the improvement of their living standards and for being able to fulfill most of their campaign pledges into reality. It has been acknowledged that Governor Kashim Shettima has displayed an unequal impressive and unique performance of excellence with great enthusiasm by contributing to the stabilization of the state and carefully charting a course for it’s recovery. He proved to be an essential team leader by working in partnership with all stakeholders through which he has been able to win the confidence and support of majority of citizens that helped the government to reconnect with the people it governs. Also by providing quality services to the citizens the government is regaining control and winning trust of the people which makes the gradual return to normalcy possible. It can be recalled that Governor Kashim Shettima stated the main thrust of his policy clearly and in detail, leaving no room for confusion or doubt. The effort of the KSM government to prioritize the developmental needs of the people by considering the improvement of our human capital as one of the most important position of his goals is yielding results. However it must be pointed out that the principal theme of the KSM government’s actions are based on creating opportunities for progress and building and improving the physical and organizational structures of the state through the provision of qualitative and functional education, building houses, constructing and maintaining roads, and improved health care delivery needed for the operation of the society properly. He made record-breaking accomplishments in the outcome of most of these undertakings due to his genuine and straightforward application of his programs. Closely connected to his laudable achievements is his attitude which endeared him to his admirers and adversaries alike. His capacity to create positive effect on the lives of ordinary people is awesome. Kashim Shettima believes that rulership is a trust from God and hence always pays serious attention to the provision of what is necessary for the welfare, maintenance and protection of the citizens of Borno State. With God’s guidance and your support he will salvage our state and bring back it’s lost glory.
