HIS WAYS TO EASE THE HEARTACHE “My MOM PASSED AWAY suddenly in April at the age of 60. It has been very difficult for my father who is still living in their home in Toledo, Ohio. They would have celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on December 7. ROSES always represented a SYMBOLIC CONNECTION for the two of them. My parent’s backyard is landscaped with many rose bushes that they planted and tended together. And, every year since I can remember my Dad would BUY MOM ROSES for their ANNIVERSARY … as many roses as the anniversary they were celebrating. For example, the year before, he bought her 37 roses. Of course, roses do not bloom in Toledo in December. Except this time! As a HEAVEN-SENT MESSAGE just in time for their December 7th anniversary, my Dad looked out the kitchen window to see A LONE ROSE standing in full blossom, nestled IN TWO INCHES OF SNOW that had fallen on Toledo. He went outside, and stood there staring at that rose for about 30 minutes. Was God winking at my dad, telling him everything was going to be all right?
