HIYAS 2017 💎 The Bachelor of Science in Nursing students of graduating class 2017 visualize themselves as Hiyas or Gems, which greatly symbolize brilliance, splendor, and magnificence. Gems would often be considered rare, valuable and precious, but behind every gem is a history of trials. Gems emerge from rocks, but not all rocks turn into gems. Only those which have undergone tremendous pressure, extreme friction, and drastic heat would most probably transform to well refined, genuine gems. Hiyas exemplifies the characteristics of a Nurse or Student Nurse which is ready to face trials and downfalls, that he would consider as lessons from which he could learn and utilize these to become a better version of himself. The cycle that a rock undergoes to be a gem is just like the personal transformation of a regular student to being an outstanding, skilled, and passionate nurse which are indeed hard to find. These student nurses may be tackling a journey with hurdles, but it would be so worth it once they have fully evolved into Hiyas---genuine, rare, and strong. Ang arte ko kase. Bow. Hehe :)
