HKG used to be a less frenetic, less crowded, less cut-throat - TopicsExpress

HKG used to be a less frenetic, less crowded, less cut-throat city...... like Xiamen, Fujian. After all the crazy, berserk, and wacko Act-Out of young students, youths, hipsters of the Umbrella Revolution/Occupy Central Shit-Disturbance in HKG....... perhaps it is time to look at a gentler, quieter, more sedate, mellower China...... XIAMEN, FUJIAN. Katrina Yu, an amazing Chinese-Filipino journalist from the overseas Diasporic Chinese communities of Southeast Asia, with roots from Xiamen, Fujian..... retraced her roots and did an astonishingly marvelous travelogue of Xiamen. Query: What went wrong with HKG? Why cant it be more sedate, more tranquil, slower-paced, and a mellower XIAMEN? Check out Katrina Yus marvelllous video clip of XIAMEN. In the context of all this HKG hipsters absurd, crazy act-out, some balance and perspective ought to be presented as to the real China that often many lao wai Westerners dont really know much about, nor care to learn more about. CHINA is beautiful. Xiamen, Fujian is marvellous. HONG KONGERS.... why cant yall be more like the people of XIAMEN, huh? Slow down. Slow down.
