HOLD YOUR POSE Dr. Tony Evans recounts his enjoyment in walking the streets of mid-town Manhattan and an incident he witnessed on a recent trip. There was a crowd gathered around a huge 5th Avenue department store window where mannequins were wearing the latest fashions. Dr. Evans sees the mannequin periodically blinking, so obviously these were real life people. These were real life people functioning as mannequins to show off the wardrobe the store wanted to sell. There were some teenagers who were there as well and thought it would be funny to try and distract the mannequins to get them to lose their focus and their pose. They were making faces & noises, sticking their tongues out and doing other crazy things to create havoc and disturb these ladies....the ladies would not budge. WHY DIDNT THESE LADIES BUDGE WHEN THERE WAS ALL THIS DISTRACTION AROUND??? The Answer: Because the owner of the store had hired them to be living displays of the merchandise and they were instructed not to allow folks on the outside to determine how they function on the inside! When you leave church, there will be a lot of distractions. Theres going to be television distractions, girlfriend/boyfriend distractions, money distractions & career distractions but the King of Kings & Lord of Lords is calling you to...... HOLD YOUR POSE!
