Sean Casey Animal Rescue was contacted and along with Catalina, a burnt cat, she was on her way to safety and admitted to the hospital. Although she had feeling in her legs, she could not stand, and had trouble getting in and out of the litter box (though she could hold her bladder). There was speculation that she was suffering, and it seemed that her only option was euthanasia. I wanted to give her a chance. With the help of Doctor Jill Caruso, we arranged a consult with Veterinary Surgeon Dr.Brian Grossbard.grossbardvet/ The following week he performed a myelogram, which showed compression of her spine. His opinion was to have her go directly into surgery, during which he removed a lesion from her spine. ( It was sent out for biopsy, so we will know more when the results come back).
