HOMEWARD BOUND: THE SOJOURNERS TRUTH – 1 CHR 29:15-18; JOHN 17:12. 16-21 A military installation no matter where it is located is considered to be a land of its own. And on these installation live two types of service members – those who are Permanent Party and those who are on Temporary Duty (TDY) Assignment. How they both live on the installation is just as anyone would normally live; however the mindset of the two are quite different. For the one that is permanent party their thoughts and plans are based their thoughts of permanence of their location. The other because they are only there for a short time until they return to their Home-base – they should and will think and plan out their life accordingly to the temporariness of their status. I bring this up because I believe that is an important distinction to make particularly for these last days for the Modern Christian aka Contemporary Christian, in terms how one should view their lifes journey in the perspective of a Sojourner.
