HONESTY BE HEARD, BE TOLD BE REMEMBERED by: JOSHUA YAP ASUNCION MERRIAMS WEBSTER DICTIONARY STATES HONESTY AS BEING obsolete, having chastity, fairness and straight- forwardness of conduct , adherence to facts, sincerity, genuine and true.... but in any other way honesty is best described as refusal to lie, steal , and deceit generations had passed filipinos are still the same . our goverment in the past till this very future have nothing been incomparably indifferent. now let it be as a student , as a filipino, as a human created in the same way you have been made, honesty be heard, be told and be REMEMBERED. The Philippine administration of Pnoy has even before have a strong campaign to fight graft and corruption. And so for many years in his terms, the serious campaign against graft and corruption continuously captured those who are doing it. Way back from the previous convicted Supreme Court justice, ombudsman, president, and many other prominent people that are in position of public service were put to an investigation as graft and corruption is concern. Now, another bombed issue blasted where Janet Lim Napoles is one of its prime topic. Napoles alleged to be the brain of PDAF or PORK BARREL SCAM involving some public servants like senators, congressmen, and other cabinet members. She was tagged as the mother of all scam where worth of 10 billions of pesos was corrupted from the government through her some fake companies and foundations. What do you think is the best way on how to safeguard the budget that are intended for the true projects? " honesty ! is such a lonely word , every one is so untrue" let it be that the song HONESTY sung by Billy Joel be heard and be absorbed..... you know hes right! every one is so untrue, politicians,teachers,students,young and old , even priests lie... they are afraid to tell truth , and when somebody told the truth they will surely make him die. why are you all have despised truth, honesty and genuinity? did God made man in lies? GOD made us by truth HE made us through his words. AND we all know Gods words are true... is it because of our selfishness? desires to be greedy? we dont want to share blessings from God, so you steal? you want to be a top student, so you cheat? you want to be a good speaker so you plagiarize?? you want to pass your exam so you copy the answers of your seatmate??? you want to win contests so you bribe the judges?? you dont want to be scolded so you tell whats not true? you dont want to work so you steal to make money?? why not tell the truth? why not share to others what you have received? why not make your own hardwork so you dont copy? why not eliminate selfishness?? why not tell what you have witnessed? why not be honest? proverbs 12-20 says whoever speaks the truth gives honest evidences, but a false witness utters deceit. there is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. now i say to you truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment. deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil but those who plan peace have joy. LET it be that students of this school will have initiative to admit their mistakes, do their assignments on time. tell what they think, voice out their opinion. throw their garbages in the trash cans... tell their teachers what they have observed... that is being an honest student. let it be that people in offices holding such important position in their work places be alert and be reminded that they should be true in doing things in accordance of what they are in.... being on their offices on time speaks honesty. let it be that every fathers and mothers of every family be true to each and every one especially to their partners ... let not be cheating nor dishonesty be a cause of family destruction. let it be judges be true and filled with wisdom and full observance of what they will put onto papers.. let not bribery nor fear be a distraction of honesty implementation of decisions LET IT BE, MY CONTENDERS: believe with me that HONESTY is the best policy,if not the only policy ,a statute that is written in every heart and can be put unto action by every one... being fair in competition is honesty. let it be teachers be true to their students of where their money will go .... in PTA or in any activities involving trust and obedience.. you teachers should lead students to be an honest dissiminator of truth, in school and in any place... let it be people of davao city national highschool be now fully aware of honest implication and application of true compliance of the law in little things and in big responsibilities. we students are the hope of our country .... how could this be possible if we ourselves are very dishonest even to our very own intuition. the hope of our family is us.... we must not discourage our parents in such things in connection with dishonesty.... stealing, cheating, always being late, wrong information,deceitfulness and lies.... are all dishonesty... let it be that as a child of God we must be true in all that our tongue will confess.. remember that satan is the father of all lies.. satan doesnt want us to be honest... he wants us to lie, to cheat , to steal in a way that we will find it interesting, and sometimes we could find it as an escape to problems... being dishonest in all things is a sin... it is a sin!!! and the wages of sin is death... let not dishonesty be a cause of your death.... so now as a student under this institution , as a person MADE THE SAME WAY YOU HAVE BEEN CREATED! LET HONESTY BE HEARD,BE TOLD, AND BE CREATED..
