HONEY Honey is a young MONGREL who has had puppies in the last few months! We have NO idea what cross she is .. but ... she is LOVELY! She is in foster for me near Watford at present but really does need to find another foster home or better still a forever home as this foster placement was an emergency stop gap for her ... Heather has written ... Honey came to us unexpectedly after a phone call on Sunday morning (20th December 2014). Her time was up in a pound up North and by the power of FB we were home checked that afternoon. Amazingly a couple saw the plea for transport and happened to be visiting a relative near where she was and very kindly collected Honey for the journey to Toddington Services where we met her shortly after 20.00. Dog people are SUPERB. Honey is only about 24/25tts and just a wee bit longer than that. Very cute. She has a lovely squarish face with appealing markings, stocky build with large feet that she didnt quite grow into. They think shes about 3yrs old. and recently had pups. Honey is very affectionate, wanting to snuggle into you, preferably on your lap. Not allowing this as a general thing in case new owners wouldnt want this behaviour. A big dog but in a little package. Honey is the most attentive, loving and fun young dog so I hope people will want to meet her soon as she deserves to be in a forever home. Nothing makes her happier than snuggling at your feet or cuddling on your lap with her front paws around your shoulders. Yes, were going soft in our old age but its hard to resist her loving overtures every time. She can do sit, has picked up down, learnt her name and comes when you call her in the garden. Shes a bright little button who wants to feel secure and to please you. She’s a young dog so shes got a fair bit of energy which confuses our lazy greyhounds so an active home or a good size garden will be great for her. Dont get me wrong, she does love snoozing as well so shes not on the go all of the time. Loves her food, good in the car, her walks, is clean indoors but does need lead training. Does stairs in a flash. We’re amazed at how well she’s fitted into the home environment, how well behaved she is, we’ve been able to go near her while feeding just to test it out but no problem. Gets on with our 3 greyhounds but is a bit energetic for this lazy breed and we’ve not much space. A great companion dog and we humans will greatly miss the interaction with Honey. If you are interested in adopting HONEY, please can you complete a pre-adoption questionnaire, available on the website or pm me for more details. THank you x
