HOT NEW RESTAURANT | @priyankacs dreams came true, at lunch today. Chef Hal Yamashitas first restaurant outside of Japan - Syun at @rwsentosa, does not dissappoint. The Kobe-native impresses with luxe offerings like the sea urchin rolled with wagyu beef sashimi ($15 per piece) and seafood house special jyu box that has perfectly cooked rice topped with scrambled eggs, scallop with soy butter sauce, scallop, prawns, crab legs and ikura topped with more uni and served with miso soup. At $48 per set, this box is excellent value for the quality of ingredients. The chilli crab-loving chef will make regular visits to Singapore to ensure that Syun continues to serve excellent, family-friendly Japanese fare at affordable prices. They even serve a kids set meal at lunch (salmon miso, chawanmushi, sushi rolls, steamed vegetables and a yuzu sherbet, $12).
