***HOT app of the day*** (3.99) Wallykazam! Letter and Word Magic. This is a great app for working on words and letters with kids. The app consists of 4 mini games. One of these works on letter recognition and asks your kids to go searching through the forest to find the 3 letters it has asked you for. Once you have those in hand you can play on and find another 3 letters. Another game consists of tracing letters, where you are first shown how to write a letter and then have to practice doing this yourself. All letter recognition and tracing is done in lowercase letters. It also then teaches children the sound of the letter they have just practiced writing. My favourite game is the rhyming words where kids have to identify the words that rhyme with the one on the banner. As this is something we are working on with my daughter at the moment she quite enjoyed playing this too. The final game is using magic words that you have earnt by completing other games.
