HOW DO I COPE WITH A DIFFICULT SPOUSE? No two enemies have married before. They always start as lovers who love each other enough to share their lives together. Marriage isnt mans idea, it is Gods plan and idea for man so whatever is born of God demands God to manage it. When you marry someone you embrace everything he or she is in a simple statement Yes I do so you need to make room for his or her weaknesses. God has plans for marriage. Some of His plans is that a couple will walk in unity to reflect His nature. Unity is the nature of the Godhead, Father, son and Holy Spirit.(2) God uses marriage to teach us how to get along with one another in peace. (3) God uses marriage to develop the fruits of the spirit in us. (4) To give birth and raise godly children.(5) to support each other in times of struggles. Every time people try to walk in Gods will, they will come under attack from the enemys camp because His word carries weight and value. (Psalm 133:1) Behold how good and pleasant it is when brethren dwell together in unity. Isnt it strange that people can live happily as boy and girl friends but the moment they marry they start facing tough challenges? Unity gets Gods attention and blessing. It also generates power. Uniting with your spouse serves as a protective covering for your family and home. For this reason, Satan tries hard to create confusion between husband and wife. Because we dont see him physically, we blame each other all the problems and let the devil go scot free. Until what began as a beautiful flower begins to wither. If a couple dont know the benefits and the power of unity they are more likely to abuse each other. Christian marriage is a under attack because if a couple unit and pray, it poses a threat to the kingdom of darkness. We grow up from different backgrounds with different cultures. We are taught from are our schools, cultures,families and friends. We also learn from what we have seen in others lives, and from our own experiences from previous relations. Unfortunately, some the things we learn give us a wrong perspective of how a husband or a wife should be, so we enter into marriage with very wounded and damaged hearts. How then can we sincerely love from a sick heart? But the good news is, there is an answer, JESUS is the way out. All that you need to have is the willingness to accept change and the Lord will teach you how to be a wife and a husband to suit His divine purpose if you invite Him in. Our Jesus is a real God who truly teaches His people. (1John 2:27) But the anointing that you have received from him abides in you, and you do not need any man to teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you all things and is truth, and is no lie; and even as it has taught you, abide in him. ( The anointing is simply the Holy Spirit in you) Frankly speaking, you will learn a lot from the Lord than you will do from your pastor or church.
