In this time of the end when God is opening up the Scriptures, the child of God realizes like never before that the numbers of the Bible are perfectly accurate and possess extreme importance. God has built the framework to the timeline of history upon the Bible’s numbers. All of the significant events of Biblical history are connected by interrelating numbers. May 15, 1948 – The first “official” day of statehood for Israel was not a coincidence. Numbers as Factors – God uses numerical factors in illustrating spiritual truth. The Number 2 – The number 2 points to those who have been commissioned to bring the Gospel. A)THE DISCIPLES WERE SENT OUT 2 BY 2, B)THE 2 WITNESSES KILLED IN REVELATION 11, C) JESUS BORN OCTOBER 2ND (JESUS IS THE VERY ESSENCE OF THE GOSPEL HIMSELF) The two witnesses of Revelation chapter 11 represent the going forth of the Gospel during the Early Rain (see Study on The Two Witnesses). The two witnesses are also spoken of as the two olive trees: These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. (Revelation 11:4) The trees represent the believers: The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted (Psalm 104:16) For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. (Isaiah 55:12) And it is the believers who are responsible for going into all the world with the Gospel. The two witnesses are also spoken of as the two candlesticks: These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. (Revelation 11:4) The candlesticks represent the Holy Spirits presence at work within the churches: Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. (Revelation 2:5) This is because the candlestick represents the light source which is Christ; As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. (John 5:9) Christ is the Word of God in flesh: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 14:1) Therefore the light, represented by the two candlesticks, identifies with the Gospel. The candlesticks identify with the churches and it is the churches primary job assignment to spread the Gospel. Jesus sent out 70 people two by two to share the Word of God: After these things the LORD appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. (Luke 10:1) The Number 3 – The number 3 points to God’s purpose.(3 CROSSES AT JESUS CRUCIFIXION, JESUS 3 DAYS IN THE TOMB, PETER DENIED JESUS 3 TIMES, JONAH WAS 3 DAYS AND 3 NIGHT IN THE BELLY OF THE WHALE, JESUS CRUCIFIED THE 3RD HOUR, THERE WAS DARKNESS IN THE LAND FOR 3 HOURS WHEN JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED, PILATE ASKED THE JEWS 3 TIMES “WHAT EVIL HATH HE DONE, THE INSCRIPTION ON THE CROSS WAS WRITTEN IN 3 LANGUAGES, THEY SHOUTED “CRUCIFY HIM 3 TIMES. (NUMBERS 22:31-33) The number 3 is found frequently in the Bible. It would appear that we could say the number 3 in the Bible signifies Gods plan. Its sort of a vague definition, but the number 3 lets us know that whatever happened wasnt by chance. God intended it to occur for His own purpose. We find the number 3 used repeatedly in connection with the atonement: There were 3 crosses Luke 23:33 Peter denied Jesus 3 times Matthew 26:34,75 Jesus prayed 3 times that this cup might be removed Matthew 26:39-44 Three disciples went deeper into the garden with Him Matthew 26:36-37 He was crucified on the third hour Mark 15:25 There was darkness over the earth for 3 hours Mark 15:33 He was in the heart of the earth 3 days and 3 nights Matthew 12:40 Pilate asked the Jews 3 times, What evil hath He done? Luke 23:22 The sepulcher was made secure unto the third day Matthew 27:64 The inscription on the cross was written in 3 languages John 19:19-20; Luke 23:38 They shouted Crucify him! 3 times Matthew 15:13-14 Other Examples Of The Number 3 Signifying Gods Plan Or Intent Peter preached a sermon at Pentecost and 3,000 people were saved: Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. (Acts 2:41) Jonah was in the belly of the whale for three days and three nights: Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. (Jonah 1:17) Paul spoke in the synagogue for three months, but the hearers hearts were hardened: And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God. (Acts 19:8) Paul waited three years to go to Jerusalem to see Peter: Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. (Galatians 1:18) The ships went out every three years to gather gold and other fine things. We learned in our study of ship that this signified the bringing in of believers as part of Gods salvation plan. (See Word Study on Ship) For the kings ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks. (2 Chronicles 9:21) The Number 4 – The number 4 points to something that is all-encompassing OR THE FULLEST EXTENT. FOUR CORNERS OF THE WORLD, NORTH, SOUTH, EAST, WEST Satans deceitful work spreads through the entire world: “And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth.” (Revelation 20:8) The number four can be used in connection with the points of a compass which covers all possible directions: In four quarters were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south. (1ST Chronicles 9:24) “On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.” (Revelation 21:13) IN THE BOOK OF JOHN, JESUS SAID WHOM HE WILL RAISE UP ON THE LAST DAY, 4 TIMES. JOHN 6:39, 40, 44 AND 54 Satans deceitful work spreads through the entire world: “And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth.” (Revelation 20:8) God gathers his people from all over the planet: “And he shall send his angels with a great trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to another.” (Matthew 24:31) The number four can be used in connection with the points of a compass which cover all possible directions: In four quarters were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south. (1 Chronicles 9:24) “On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.” (Revelation 21:13) When warning of the destruction that God plans to bring upon the entire land of Israel He speaks of it as a destruction that will come upon the four corners of the land: Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land. (Ezekiel 7:2) The four corners of the land is another way of saying the whole land: Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land. (Jeremiah 45:4) Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORDs wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land. (Zephaniah 1:18) They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth unto me; the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth it to heart. (Jeremiah 12:11) We saw in the above paragraph that the desolation was in the whole land. God also speaks of this desolation as being four sore judgments through four kinds, all of which is an illustration of total destruction in the whole land: For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast? (Ezekiel 14:21) And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy. (Jeremiah 15:3) God lists four synoyms of people to signify all people: “And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.” (Revelation 17:15) In Zechariah 6:1-5 we read about the four chariots which represent the four spirits of the heavens that go forth from the Lord of all the earth. The Number 5 – The number 5 points to judgment, salvation OR THE ATONEMENT.. JESUS FED THE 5,000 WITH 5 LOAVES OF BREAD, WHICH IS A PICTURE OF JESUS AS THE BREAD OF LIFE (MATTHEW 16:9), DAVID FACED GOLIATH WITH 5 SMOOTH STONES AND KILLED HIM WITH A STONE. GOD USED DAVID TO BRING JUDGMENT AGAINST GOLIATH AND THE PHILLISTINES. IN THE PARABLE OF THE VIRGINS, THERE WERE 5 WISE VIRGINS AND 5 FOOLISH VIRGINS (MATTHEW 25:1-13) JUDGMENT DAY WILL LAST 5 MONTHS, (SEE REVELATION 9:5, FOR ONE OF THE CLUES) AN ANGEL SLEW 185,000 ASSYRIANS, WHICH IS 5 X 37,000=185,000 5 POINTS TO JUDGMENT, THOUSAND (1000) POINTS TO COMPLETENESS, AND 37 POINTS TO GOD’S WRATH. SO, TO PUT IT IN PLAIN ENGLISH, THE COMPLETE DESTRUCTION OF THE ASSYRIANS. THE SAMARITAN WOMAN WHO MET JESUS AT THE WELL, SHE HAD 5 HUSBANDS, EVERYTHING INDICATES THAT SHE TOO WAS ALSO SAVED. Examples Signifying Salvation Jesus fed five thousand people with five loaves of bread (Matthew 16:9). The five thousand people represent those who are saved by partaking of the Bread of Life, which is Christ: And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. (John 6:35) Five shekels were paid for those who are to be redeemed. These individuals represent those who are saved: And those that are to be redeemed from a month old shalt thou redeem, according to thine estimation, for the money of five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs. (Numbers 18:16) Examples Signifying Judgment We read about the five unsaved brothers who were still under Gods judgment: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. (Luke 16:28) The book of Revelation speaks of five months of judgment: And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. (Revelation 9:5) And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. (Revelation 9:10) Examples Signifying Both Salvation And Judgment The five wise virgins of Matthew 25:1-13 represent those who are ready to meet God (the saved). The five foolish virgins represent those arent ready to meet God (the unsaved who are still under the judgment of God). David chose five stones when going to battle with Goliath (1 Samuel 17:40). This signifies the judgment of God that was about to come upon Goliath (who is heading up those that oppose Gods people) and it also signifies the salvation that is about to be brought to Israel. GOD WORKED 6 DAYS IN CREATING THE UNIVERSE, Six (6) days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work (EXODUS 20:9) SIX (6) YEARS WERE GIVEN TO DO ALL THE WORK OF PLANTING AND HARVESTING. “AND SIX (6) YEARS THOU SHALT SOW THE LAND, AND SHALT GATHER IN THE FRUITS THEREOF” (EXODUS 23:10) HEBREWS SERVANTS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE SET FREE AFTER WORKING 6 YEARS. If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing. (Exodus 21:2) For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. (EXODUS 20:11) We also find the number six used in connection with Christ’s work on the cross: It was the sixth hour when Christ was ordered to be crucified (John 19:14-15). It was the sixth hour when darkness fell upon all the earth just before Christ died. (Luke 23:44) The Number 7 –THE PERFECT FULLFILMENT OF GOD’S PURPOSE. NOAH WAS TOLD BY GOD, THE FLOOD WOULD COME IN 7 DAYS , GOD RESTED ON THE 7TH DAY, 7,000 YEARS FROM 4990 (THE YEAR OF THE FLOOD) TO MAY 21, 2011, THERE ARE 7 DAYS IN A WEEK, JESUS WAS BORN OCTOBER 2ND, 7 B.C. (2 MEANS THOSE COMMISSIONED TO BRING THE GOSPEL AND 7 MEANS THE PERFECT COMPLETION OF WHATEVER IS IN VIEW) DURING JOSEPH’S TIME IN EGYPT, THERE WAS 7 YEARS OF PLENTY AND 7 YEARS OF FAMINE. WAS JESUS COMMISSIONED TO BRING THE GOSPEL? YES! DID HE COMPLETE EVERYTHING TO PERFECTION? YES! And seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually, and blew with the trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rereward came after the ark of the LORD, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets. And the second day they compassed the city once, and returned into the camp: so they did six days. And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times. And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city. (JOSHUA 6:13-16) Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.(MATTHEW 18:21-:22) NAMAAN THE SYRIAN WAS TOLD BY THE PROPHET ELISHA TO GO DIP HIMSELF IN THE JORDAN RIVER 7 TIMES TO BE HEALED OF HIS LEPROSY. (2ND KINGS 5:10), 7 CHURCHES IN REVELATION 2 AND 3, 7 SEALS ON THE BOOK (THE BIBLE, AS GOD BEGINS TO REVEAL TRUTHS THAT WERE NOT KNOWN BEFORE, BUT ARE REVEALED AS THE END OF THE WORLD APPROACHES) KING SOLOMON HAD 700 WIVES. The Number 10, 100, 1000 -THE COMPLETENESS OF WHATEVER GOD HAS IN VIEW. 10 PLAGUES OVER THE LAND OF EGYPT, SATAN WAS BOUND FOR A 1000 YEARS, MEANING HE COULD NOT FRUSTRATE GOD’S SALVATION PROGRAM DURING THE 1955 YEARS OF THE CHURCH AGE, WHICH ENDED IN 1988. THIS WAS NOT A LITERAL 1000 YEARS, BUT SYMBOLIC. The number 10 can be found very frequently throughout the Bible, but it is often found as a factor when other numbers of spiritual significance are featured. For example, the 2,300 (23 x 10 x 10) days of Daniel 8:14 are a reference to the first part of the Great Tribulation. The number being featured here is 23, which God uses to point to judgment (see Number Study on 23). However, there are times when the number 10 is used by itself and in those cases, if it has spiritual significance, we find it used in connection with completeness . Cattle on 1,000 hills God says that every beast of the forest is His, as well as the cattle upon 1,000 hills: For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. (Psalm 50:10) The number 1,000 is, of course, 10 x 10 x 10. Is God saying that only the cattle upon a particular grouping of 1,000 hills are His? No, Hes indicating that the cattle on every hill, or the completeness of hills, are His. Numbering of angels We also read about the numbering of the angels: And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousand of thousands (Revelation 5:11) We can clearly see that this is not a literal number in view here. God is using this language to indicate that all of the angels, or the completeness of angels, are present. The ten virgins In Matthew chapter 25 we read about the kingdom of God being represented by 10 virgins: Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. (Matthew 25:1) When we study this parable we discover that five of the virgins represent the true believers and five represent the unsaved who think they are saved. In other words, the ten virgins, as a whole, typify the earthly representation of Gods people. They represent the completeness of professing Christians, both the truly saved and those who think they are saved but are not. THE NUMBER 11-THE FIRST COMING OF CHRIST, 11,000 YEARS AFTER CREATION. THE NUMBER 12-THE FULLNESS OF WHATEVER IS IN VIEW THE NUMBER 13-POINTS TO THE END OF THE WORLD THE EARTH WILL BE 13,023 YEARS OLD IN 2011. (13, END OF THE WORLD, 23= JUDGMENT) Spiritual Significance: God uses the number 13 in connection with the end of the world. 1988 = 13,000th year We know from studying the timeline information God has given us that 1988 was the 13,000th year of this worlds existence. We also know that the Early Rain, a period during which God was bringing the Gospel to the world through the church organization, ended in 1988. Furthermore, the Great Tribulation began in 1988. The year 1988 marked the beginning of the end of the world. We have learned that bringing this world to an end is a 8,553-day process. The Great Tribulation, a period during which God has begun His judgment process by abandoning the churches, began at sundown on May 21, 1988, and continues for 8,400 days until the Rapture on May 21, 2011. God will finish His judgment process over the last 153 days before destroying the world on October 21, 2011. Marching around Jericho The soldiers marched around Jericho 13 times and then the walls fell down: And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. (Joshua 6:3-4) It can be shown that the walls of Jericho falling down foreshadow the end of the Early Rain just before the Great Tribulation began. This occurred in 1988, the 13,000th year of this worlds existence. The death of Jehoiada In Second Chronicles chapter 24 we read about Joash the king, who had Jehoiada the priest as his guide. Joash did that which was right in the eyes of God throughout Jehoiadas life: And Joash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all the days of Jehoiada the priest. (2 Chronicles 24:2) But as soon as Jehoiada died Joash fell away from following God: Now after the death of Jehoiada came the princes of Judah, and made obeisance to the king. Then the king hearkened unto them. And they left the house of the LORD God of their fathers, and served groves and idols: and wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this their trespass. (2 Chronicles 24:17-18) As a result, God declared that He had forsaken them: And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you. (2 Chronicles 24:20) In this historic parable, the death of Jehoiada typifies the end of the Early Rain when God abandoned the church organization in 1988 because of its insistance on chasing after wrong doctrines. Jehoiada was 130 years old when died: But Jehoiada waxed old, and was full of days when he died; an hundred and thirty years old was he when he died. (2 Chronicles 24:15) Again, 1988 was the 13,000th year of this worlds existence and was typified in this historic parable by Jehoiadas death at the age of 130. Asa becomes diseased in his feet In Second Chronicles chapter 14 we read that Asa was a good king who did that which was right in the eyes of God: And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God: For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and brake down the images, and cut down the groves: And commanded Judah to seek the LORD God of their fathers, and to do the law and the commandment. Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the images: and the kingdom was quiet before him. (2 Chronicles 14:2-5) But when Asa was 39 years old he became diseased in his feet and turned from God. He looked to man rather than God for help for the last two years of his life: And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians. And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign. (2 Chronicles 16:12-13) This historic parable is another foreshadowing of the end of the Early Rain when the church organization becomes diseased in its feet for the remainder of its existence. Beautiful feet identify with the going forth of the true Gospel: And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (Romans 10:15) The feet being diseased identifies with the fact that the church organization is no longer bringing the true Gospel, but instead it is bringing a gospel that is a polluted and mutilated version of the true Gospel. In regards to our number study, the detail we need to make note of is the fact that Asa was 39 years old when this happened. The number 39 breaks down into 13 x 3, and the number 3 illustrates that this was Gods purpose. Josiahs death at the beginning of tribulation Josiah was a very good king and he died at the age of 39: Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mothers name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath. (2 Kings 22:1) His death occurred in 609 BC and we know from studying the timeline that this year was the beginning of a 70-year tribulation that foreshadowed the Great Tribulation of our day. Josiahs death foreshadowed the end of the Early Rain in 1988, after which the Great Tribulation began. The number 39 breaks down into 13 x 3. THE NUMBER 17-HEAVEN Spiritual Significance: God uses the number 17 in representation of His kingdom. Examples Joseph was 17 years old when he had a dream that his family would bow before him (Genesis 37:2-10). Joseph was a figure of Christ, as is also evidenced in this passage where we read that Israel loved Joseph (Israel typifies Gods people). Josephs family bowing before him foreshadows Heaven when all believers will worship Christ. Jacob lived in Egypt for 17 years under the care of Joseph who saved him from famine (Genesis 47:28). Once again, Joseph is a picture of Christ. Egypt is sometimes used as a representation of Gods kingdom. Joseph ruled Egypt just as Christ rules Gods kingdom. Joseph saved Jacob from famine just as Christ saves the believers from spiritual famine. When Israel was about to go into captivity, Jeremiah paid 17 shekels for a piece of land in Israel (Jeremiah 32:9). This foreshadowed the Israelites return to Israel, which in turn was an illustration of God bringing His people to Heaven: Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely: And they shall be my people, and I will be their God (Jeremiah 32:37-38) THE NUMBER 23-POINTS TO GOD’S JUDGMENT God brings judgment to the sanctuary and the host for 2,300 days: Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. (Daniel 8:13-14) Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. (1 Corinthians 10:8) OCTOBER 21, 2011 IS THE 23RD DAY ON THE HEBREW CALENDAR, SHOWN EARLIER ON THE HEBREW DATE CONVERTER God brings judgment to the sanctuary and the host for 2,300 days: Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. (Daniel 8:13-14) God brings judgment through a plague which kill 23,000 people in one day: Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. (1 Corinthians 10:8) God speaks of 23,000 people who were not given inheritance and would die in the wilderness. And those that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, all males from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel (Numbers 26:62) These 23,000 signify unsaved individuals who are under the wrath of God and will not inherit the kingdom of God. The last good king of Judah (Josiah) was killed in battle in 609 BC. The four kings who followed him were very wicked and reigned until 587 BC, which is when Judah was completely destroyed by the Babylonians. These 23 years between the death of Josiah and the destruction of Judah points to the judgment of God. It can be shown that this timeframe foreshadows the 2,300 days of Daniel 8:14. THE NUMBER 37-GOD’S WRATH OR JUDGMENT, THE NUMBER 666 IS A SYMBOLIC NUMBER ASSIGNED TO THE UNSAVED UNDER GOD’S JUDGMENT, NOT AN ACTUAL NUMBER. WHICH IS 3X3X2X37=666, NUMBER 3 IS DOUBLED, MEANING IT WILL SHORTLY COME TO PASS, NUMBER 2, SATAN COMES AS AN ANGEL OF LIGHT AS ONE COMMISSIONED TO BRING THE GOSPEL. 37 IS GOD’S WRATH OR JUDGMENT. SO WE CAN UNDERSTAND THIS TO NOW MEAN, THEREFORE IT’S GOD’S PURPOSE (3) THAT SATAN WOULD OVERCOME THE SAINTS (2) (RULE IN THE CHURCHES), WHICH HE IS NOW COMMISSIONED TO DO. NOW ALL CHURCHES ARE UNDER THE WRATH OF GOD (37) BEING RULED BY SATAN. Examples It was the 17th day of the 2nd month when the Flood began: “In the six hundredth year of Noahs life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.” (Genesis 7:11) It was the 27th day of the 2nd month when the earth was dry: “And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.” (Genesis 8:14) Back then, months were 30 days in length so when we do the math we learn that the flood waters were on the earth for 370 days. So the number 37 is featured in an event that had everything to do with God’s judgment on mankind. We read about God bringing judgment on 185,000 Assyrians: “And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.” (2 Kings 19:35) The number 185,000 breaks down into 37 x 5 x 1,000. We will learn later that the Bible provides support for breaking down numbers in search of spiritual truth. Once again, we find the number 37 featured in relation to judgment. The Number 40 – The number 40 points to testing OR JUDGMENT. IT RAINED 40 DAYS AND 40 NIGHTS DURING THE GREAT FLOOD OF NOAH’S DAY, THE JEWS WANDERED IN THE WILDERNESS FOR 40 YEARS, JESUS WAS TEMPTED IN THE WILDERNESS FOR 40 DAYS BY THE DEVIL, THE JEWISH SPIES WERE IN THE LAND OF CANAAN FOR 40 DAYS, GOD COMMANDED JONAH TO TELL THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF NINEVEH, IN 40 DAYS THIS CITY WILL BE OVERTHROWN (DESTROYED), MOSES WAS 40 DAYS AND 40 NIGHTS ON MOUNT SINAI. (EXODUS 24:18) THE NUMBER 43-GOD’S WRATH OR JUDGMENT The Number 84 – The number 84 is seen in the duration of the great tribulation. When we examine these three tribulations we find the number 84 connected to the length of each one: The tribulation in Canaan was 7 years in length, which is 84 months. The tribulation in Judah was 70 years in length, which is 840 months. We have established that the Great Tribulation is exactly 23 years in length, which is exactly 8,400 days.
