HOW MANY FEET HIGH IS 4 MILES ANYWAYS? Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time.~ Steven Wright ;)~ Well...I guess I should have figured out, that walking the 2 miles each way to work and back, was going to leave a Lance a little tired out to start the week out, and as I sit here in this, big ass, leather recliner, watching college football, let me tell you, Im feelin it.... I know...Quit whining you big cry baby right? Thats what I get for sitting around all weekend doing nothing...and around here...EVERYTIME YOU GO outside you have to add 30 pounds of gear to the mix it seems like, just so you can be ready for anything...I cant complain too much however, because not only did I have some great tunes going on for the walk, I also have beautiful scenery everywhere I look...and its all flat....and thats a bonus without a doubt... Whats really cool about the last frontier, city dwelling, is that people ride bikes here all year long...Thats right...Bicycles...in the snow and ice. They even get studded tires on them to help grip the roads just like a car. Some get the big fat tire bikes going on, and others just do it to commute all year regardless. Lights on their bodies, blinking on their bikes everywhere and a lot of clothes specialized for winter riding...I would love to have one, but with some of them costing over 2000 dollars, my winter bike might be next year...but it would be cool.... Of course, a car or truck might be a better goal at the moment right? I came up here without one, and with some challenging credit at the moment, plus a tight budget for now, it may be awhile on that one as well....So we keep walking for now...if anything it supposed to be good for the cardiovascular system right? Thank my HIM for long legs, I knew sooner or later they would become useful...Too funny...Maybe tomorrows walk home will allow me another Moose encounter, you never know.... And thats that....another Monday in the books, a walk to the top of a mountain without ever leaving the ground...and another great day to just be alive...(and in Alaska)....Life....is....good!!!
