HOW MANY OF YOU WILL ACTUALLY TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS TO THE END???..........and will YOU follow through?! Today we are EXACTLY 1 WEEK away from #THANKSGIVING!! In my current give thanks, get fit challenge group, weve been incorporating give thanks and attitude of gratitude challenges for each week. Why? Because thats what this holiday is all about. Giving, thanking and showing gratitude toward others. This tradition also brings an abundance of (often times) deliciously unhealthy foods. And I am most certainly guilty of overindulging! What are you doing for yourself and others to honor this Thanksgiving Holiday AND to stay on track with your goals?!?! Heres a few suggestions: 1) Be thankful for just being present. And then thank your closest family and friends for being just the same! 2) Sit down and WRITE DOWN 3 goals you want to achieve BEFORE the new year: >>1 personal development goal >>1 health related goal >>1 gratitude goal; ONE act of kindness to make someone else feel special and appreciated 3) Devise a specific PLAN for HOW youre going to achieve these 3 goals! 4) Find an accountability partner and tell others closest to you that youd appreciate their support! 5) COMMIT and follow through! MY EXAMPLE: 1) I am thankful to be HERE; living, breathing, and physically able to motivate and encourage others to live happier, healthier lives. I thank YOU for staying engaged and trusting me to guide you in successfully achieving your goals! 2) My goals: >> Personal development goals: to finish the book The Motivation Manifesto by Brendon Burchard (also listening daily to personal development audio: recorded calls/seminars/webinars/sermons) >> Health Goals: continue to keep lower sugar intake (NOT counting on Turkey Day), achieving 17% body fat, being able to do at least 10 STRONG straight-leg hanging leg lifts, gain at least 1 inch in calve development and 7min. mile >> Gratitude goals: leading my challenge group participants and clients to a healthier lifestyle and to teach them to value their bodies, spending special QT with my family, and volunteering to provide less fortunate families with food, gifts and all things of the holiday and Christmas spirit! (at Prosper High School Dec. 14th 12pm-4pm if any of you are interested in also volunteering! cornerstonenct.org/) 3) My plan: read at least 20 minutes per day, consistent workouts at least 5 days/week with specific focus on my goals, and SHOWING UP with a smile on my face and helping hands ready to bring joy to families in need! 4) Accountability partner: Harvey Hughes and ALL of you that are reading this, I would LOVE and appreciate your support and even participation in achieving these goals! 5) Today is a new day and a new commitment. #cantstopwontstop #thetimeisnow #givethanks #getfit #livestrong #notadiet #lifestyle #volunteer #gratitude #goals #plan #takeaction #commit #achieve #succeed #begrateful #fitness #health #family #love #holidays **lets set and achieve these goals TOGETHER, BEFORE the end of the year!!
