~HOW TO HOLD ON TO YOUR DELIVERANCE:~Pt.8 Walk In The Spirit and Not In The Flesh: We will continue to examine The Works of The Flesh: in this lesson, starting with 14. Envyings from the Gr. (phthonoi) meaning pain, ill-will, and jealousy at the good fortune or blessing of another; the most BASE of all DEGRADING and DISGRACEFUL passions. The word ENVY is more than just being jealous, it actually means to lust after what someone else has. An ENVIOUS spirit will not only cause a person to want something or someone like what you have, but that demon, will cause a person to want WHAT or WHO you have; (your wife, husband, children, cars, houses, money and even your reputation). According to (Rom.1:29-32) ENVY is listed among the sins which God gave men up to defile and damn their souls. READ: v.29. Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of ENVY, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: v.32. Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are WORTHY of DEATH, (SEPARATION FROM GOD) not only do the same, but have PLEASURE in them that do them. Now, also this is the same spirit (ENVY/JEALOUSY) that instigated the CHIEF PRIESTS to STIR UP the governor, Pilate and the people to CRUCIFY our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Look at (Mk.15:10-15; Mt.27:15-26). Also according to (Jas.3:14-16) it is evident where this characteristic comes from: v.14. But if you have or possess BITTER ENVYING and strife in your hearts, (core or belly) glory not, and lie not against The Truth. This wisdom descends not from above, but is EARTHLY, SENSUAL, DEVILISH or DEMONIC. Because where ENVYING and strife is, there is CONFUSION and every EVIL WORK or WICKED DEED. This spirit of ENVY is a very dangerous demon. Do not allow yourselves to become subject unto him. Remember: (Rom.6:16) Do you not know, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are, to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death or (separation from God), or of obedience unto righteousness? V.17. But God BE thanked, that you WERE the servants of sin, BUT you have OBEYED from the heart (the core or the center of your being) that form or mould of doctrine which was delivered unto you.
