HPD Chief Charles McClelland was happy to host 10 year old Savannah Solis last week at police headquarters. Savannah, from Tyler, Texas, has made it her mission to go around the country and personally thank law enforcement officers for their service by presenting them with handmade thank you cards. Chief McClelland met with Savannah and gave her a tour of his office. In addition, Savannah got to meet mounted patrol officers and their horses, received a tour of the museum, and go to see how the 24-hour crime center worked. Thank you to Savannah and her parents for taking the time out of their lives to visit with us. It was greatly appreciated.
