HSC র পর মেরিনে ক্যারিয়রঃ ==================== Bangladesh Marine Academy সুইডেনের মালমোতে অবস্থতি World Maritime University (WMU) এর একটি শাখা যা ১৯৬২ সালে কর্ণফুলী নদী তীরবর্তীর মনোরম প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্্যমণ্ডিত পাহাড়ের পাদদেশে চট্রগ্রামের আনোয়ারা থানাধীন জলদিয়া নামক স্থানে ১০০ একর জমির উপর প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়।শুরুতে ৪২জন ছাত্র নিয়ে যাত্রা শুরু করে বর্তমানে ৩০০ জন ক্যাডেট মেরিন একাডেমিতে যোগদান করে।উল্লেখ্য যে,২০১১ সালে মেরিন একাডেমীকে পূনাজ্ঞ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় হিসাবে ঘোষণা করা হয়। মেরিন একাডেমির উদ্দেশ্য হল ২ বছর প্রশিক্ষণ শেষে ক্যাডেটদের World Class Mariner হিসাবে গড়ে তোলা।দীর্ঘ দিনের নিরলস প্রচেষ্টার ফলশ্রুতিতে ১৯৮৯সালে বাংলাদেশ মেরিন একাডেমী world Maritime University (WMU) এর Branch হিসাবে স্থীকৃতি পায়।Marine Academy- তে ক্যাডেটদের উন্নত প্রশিক্ষ্ণণের মাধ্যমে দক্ষ Mariner হিসাবে গড়ে তোলে হয় যাতে করে সে অসীম সাহসিকতার সাথে দুঃসাহসিক চ্যালেঞ্জ গ্রহণ করতে সক্ষম হয়। Application-এর ন্যূনতম যোগ্যতাঃ Under Bangladesh Merchant Marine Officers’ & Ratings’ training, certification, employment, working hours and watchkeeping Rules 2011 Bangladesh Marine Academy has setup the following Pre-qualifications of application. A. Eligibility of a candidate i) Educational Qualifications SSC or equivalent (Science) => Minimum GPA 3.5 HSC or equivalent (Science) => Minimum GPA 3.5 In HSC, minimum grade in Physics & Mathematics is to be 3.50 individually. In English, grade is to be minimum 3.00; however if it is less than 3.00, IELTS score 5.5 will be accepted. 3. A & O-Level : a. A-level certificate in Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics (Minimum Grade ‘C’ individually ) b. O-level certificates in Five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English (Minimum Grade ‘C’ individually ii) Other Qualifications 1. Age limit: Maximum 21 years on 31 December 2012 (Year of application). The date of birth is recognized as per S.S.C or equivalent examination certificate. Affidavit will not be accepted. Any candidate found to be over even by one day shall be rejected and no appeal against it shall be entertained. 2. Nationality: Candidates must be male or female nationals of Bangladesh by birth or domicile as per national legislation duly certified by competent authority. Foreign (male & female) applicants may also apply through their respective Embassies. 3. Marital Status: Unmarried. 4. Height: Male- 5 -4 ; Female 5 -2 5. Weight: Proportionate BMI B.
