HSE Engineer Norwegian Petroleum Consultants - Singapore Job Description I am working in partnership with a global Offshore organisation here in Singapore who requires a HSE Engineer for a 2 year contract duration. Desired Skills & Experience Responsibilities: Implement project hazard management philosophy and basis of design in accordance with contract, project and Corp HSEQ requirements Support project engineering in the development of fire and safety systems design and engineering and selection of fire and safety and lifesaving equipment Compile and format data to generate reports for weekly/monthly meetings Evaluate vendor/suppliers design and engineering documents with regards to HSE adequacy and compliance Co-ordinate/participate in HAZOP / HAZID / ALARP / SIL workshops, Model review, safety reviews and maintain register for tracking recommendations Assist/co-ordinate program of FSAs, evaluate ,and maintain register for tracking recommendations To collect, compile and validate HSE statistics in accordance with Corp and Project requirements. Must read, understand the project specification/requirements applicable Codes and Standards and execute work accordingly. Must read, understand company Standards, Procedures and Policies and implement where required. Capable of reviewing project specification, data sheets, drawing and vendor document. Capable of preparing calculations/RFQ/Technical Bid analysis. Experience in MS Office and awareness of MS Project Coordinate with other departments on design, problems and questions. Meet work schedule requirements and perform quality work as expected. Perform duties as per instruction of Seniors/Supervisors. Keep discipline and cohesive environment in the office. Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Engineering with minimum 6 years’ experience applying working principles within assigned technical field (onshore or offshore Oil & Gas) or MS degree and 3 year relevant experience. Working knowledge of specific technologies, procedures and applications. Working knowledge of at least one MODEC or related project line - exposure to other lines. Some knowledge of competitor projects will be preferred. Some contact with vendors for new/updated equipment/product design. Knowledge of, and demonstrable experience in hazard and risk assessment techniques and software and Database systems related to Engineering functions. Ability to perform design calculations and analysis. Good communication skill. Commitment to take responsibility. Possess some ability to challenge, influence and lead on a selective range of HSE issues. The nature of this job requires ability to negotiate with contractors and working to improve safety performance.
