HT Correspondent , Hindustan Times Chandigarh, October 08, 2014 First Published: 21:46 IST(8/10/2014) Modis bubble will soon burst: Swami Agnivesh Attacking Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi, social activist and spiritual leader Swami Agnivesh said Modis bubble would soon burst as he had failed to meet the aspirations of people despite nearing five months of tenure. I am aware that four months is not much time, but he did not take any concrete step that could convey his honest intentions, he said during the Meet the Press programme at the local Press Club on Wednesday. He said much was expected from him as he got a historic mandate of the people of the country. But where was a reform on the labour laws? The PM has not moved an inch on the Lokpal issue. He also did not take any strong step to stop beef export from India. He still remains non-assertive on bringing black money to India. All these indications are creating suspicion in peoples mind and bringing down the credibility of the new NDA government at the Centre, he said. The country will only lead towards chaos and anarchy if Modi government fails to come up to the peoples aspirations and fulfil all tall promises he made during the run up to the general elections, he said. Swami Agnivesh, who played a vital role in Anna Hazares Jan Lokpal movement, also spoke openly about his differences with Hazare and said the man had lost his credibility, I dont think people have faith on him now. He said, We need another JP Movement in the country that could mobilise people to take on the issue of drug, communal tension, poverty, corruption and other vices affecting society. He said he was dejected with the current Indian polity that had no credible political party that could bring much-needed reforms.
