HUD NEWS - Connecticut is now Buyer Select...remember selling agents your attorney of choice will be working on the file with the HUD closing department. Be sure to start your search up front and it will take 5 days to set up the closings. The attorney will have to have his license and insurance to get his NAID number. It is taking just a few days! The other difference is the HUD escrow check is make out to the listing broker...must be money order or certified funds and in our case it is made to DB Associates of CT LLC - which is how I am registered with HUD. The check must be deposited with the time frame (48 hours). so the contract can be ratified!
