HUGE CONGRATS!! to 2009 PAGE Silver Prize winner Alex Hollister, who has been hired to adapt Allan Topols best-selling novel SPY DANCE for the screen. The UK-based writer was signed by PAGE Judge Jeff Belkin of Zero Gravity Management shortly after his contest win and has been working steadily ever since. Alex tells us: I got the SPY DANCE assignment via the old-fashioned positive working relationship route. Had a blast working with the producer on a previous gig and we collaborated so well, he kept me in mind for this one. If Ive learnt one thing through the years since Jeff signed me following the PAGE placement, its that people werent lying when they said this town is all about networking and that its important to maintain strong, healthy working relationships whenever you come across producers you creatively gel with. So its going well. A lot of other projects which Im not allowed to talk about for now. Meantime, I continue to keep an eye on developments at PAGE. Love the contest - always have. The one thing I miss is not being able to enter. Well, were very glad that youre no longer eligible, Alex! Thats our goal - to see our wining writers turn pro! :-D
