HUGE SUMS OF MONEY! I think it would be great to be affluent, financially well off. But at what cost? When does the pursuit of wealth cross the line and become something dark, and AMORAL? Today I believe there to be more people addicted to the aquisition of wealth than at any other time in our nations history. What I see in America today as it relates to opportunity, equity, and decency... what you might call our New Normal is: Vulgar and unacceptable. The United States of America is not only the richest nation on the planet..but in world history. Shes worked hard for it. The last 20 years have seen new technologies along with huge leaps in worker efficiency create incredible profit levels for Americas corporations and their share holders. HUGE SUMS OF MONEY! How can we as a society allow malefactors of great wealth to rig the system in their favor, to such a gluttonous level... and as a result have the shameful levels of poverty that we suffer today? Does anyone reading this know just how much of the countries wealth belongs to the top 5% of income earners? Is anybody reading this? Does anybody give a shit? In a land as cash and natural resources rich as this, as well as secure... how can there be so many men, women, and children living every day in pain, despair, and in abject poverty with no hope for the future? WTF? Lets not let it get France Bad. cant front though... If it continues to get worse... more haves and have-nots like Im getting in the guillotine business! Eric V. Sacramento, CA. USA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ AMORAL a·mor·al [ey-mawr-uhl, a-mawr-, ey-mor-, a-mor-] adjective 1. not involving questions of right or wrong; without moral quality; neither moral nor immoral. 2. having no moral standards, restraints, or principles; unaware of or indifferent to questions of right or wrong: a completely amoral person.
