HUMOROUS HAPPENINGS IN OUR TIMES: Illinois became the 20th state in the union on Friday to legalize the medical use of marijuana. The law set up state-run pot dispensaries statewide. They think it might cut down on the murder rate if no one can remember where they left the gun. The State Department closed U.S. embassies in the Middle East due to a threat from al-Qaida cells. Reaction was furious. The INS is so mad at al-Qaida they threatened to revoke their student visas so they’ll never complete their student pilot school training in time for the Super Bowl. NSA leaker Edward Snowden was granted asylum in Russia. It did cost him some dignity though. Ed Snowden was allowed to stay in Russia only after agreeing to pose for photographers next to a shirtless Vladimir Putin, who held him upside down like a big fish.
