HUNTSVILLE UTILITIES – POWER OUTAGE UPDATE Madison County June 8, 2014 – 5:00 AM Scattered power outages remain, affecting approximately 300 customers across Madison County. Late yesterday evening, a round of severe weather which included high winds and frequent lightning interrupted power to approximately 10,000 customers across Madison County. By midnight, the large outage areas were restored leaving only those areas in the vicinity of the damage without power. While those areas are widely scattered across the county, they include parts of Harvest-Monrovia, Toney, the City of Madison, Huntsville, Gurley, Owens Cross Roads, and New Hope. Crews have worked through the night to address the remaining outage areas, and will continue working until all power is restored.
