HV Treks is established in 2009 by Palsang Tamang. Palsang started his career in 1989 at the age of 16 as a porter. Since 1992 he has worked as a trekking guide. Palsang was born in 1973 in Thulo Parsel (75 km south-east from Kathmandu) as the eldest son in a family with 5 children. He soon became a kitchen boy and at the age of 19 (1992) he started to work as a guide. In 2002 and 2011 Palsang visited Holland, Belgium, Denmark and Germany. Because he has been working for a long time with Dutch trekkers and because of his visit to Europe, he knows how to please European customers. Because Palsang has worked almost 20 years as a guide, he has a lot of experience in organizing trekking in Nepal, India, Tibet and Bhutan. Since 2005 Palsang is also working as representative for the Dutch NGO Sathsathai. The goal of Sathsathai is to improve the life and the income of the people in 7 villages in Timal, Kavre district.
