Habitat encroachment alert: This week there has been a rabbit in our landscaping, a deer munching his way through the garden and the glad bed, a woodchuck lounging on our back deck, owls hunting in our yard, raccoons eating our mulberries, and a black snake hanging between our front doors. Last night I took Dexter out for his last piddle and as I tried to close the front screen door I hit a snag. Well the snag was a snake tail obstructing the screen door.
