Family Services Family Liaison- This position involves communication with the families in the program in a variety of circumstances. It will involve working one-on-one with financial planning, debt consolidation, media interaction, general office duties and working with social service programs to better aid the family’s transition in Habitat. It is an M-F position with a possible Saturday morning or early evening meeting once a quarter. It is an excellent opportunity for a student who might pursue or want to work in social services, family services or education. ReStore Merchandising- This position involves the placement of items in the Store making them presentable to the public rotating stock and possible in store displays. This does involve window display work, highlighting items and some marketing. It is an excellent opportunity for a student who might pursue or want to work in the retail environment. You will learn the cash register and customer service in this retail environment. Marketing- You will help with Displays and marketing material for the ReStore. Set up new marketing strategies and implement them along with the planning and execution of the current marketing program. One project could be to work with the Store Manager to plan, coordinate and Execute program. It is an excellent opportunity for individual that would like some real world experience in Marketing. Repair Technician-This position will involve making minor Repairs or evaluating whether an item should be placed on the sales floor. Looking for someone who would like to learn the skills of a handy-person to be able to fix a door, repair a cabinet, check out electrical parts, assemble items, or disassemble items to be removed. Great opportunity for individual to learn about simple repair, how things work and experience some construction activity. This position would be good fit for someone thinking about the manufacturing field learning about how thing work. Construction Construction Assistant- Working with our Construction Crew individual will be taught the basics about house building from framing, trusses, roofing, drywall, siding, interior painting, install doors, windows, cabinets, Landscaping and more. You will experience what it is like to be on a construction Crew. It is a wonderful opportunity for person who might want to work in the construction industry.
