Had a Blast Friday – Too bad the Weather turned to shit on Saturday. Mad props to the drivers who raced me. I met a lot of great people and saw a lot of sweet ass cars. For those who met me, I think you will agree that I’m not the typical DSM guy yes/no? I’ve been around the racing scene a few more years than most of you. Based on some of the comments here, I’m pretty convinced there aren’t many real ‘Street Racers’ that showed up! The posted vid of me and Morris showed me intentionally a car length behind at the line, as this was the first time ever the car was ‘roll raced’ I wanted to get some data logs to help dial in my shift points and nitrous hit. At the end he might have widened the 1 car starting gap by ½ - 1 car length on the 1-2 shift where we stayed the entire race. I was pretty happy with the results against a 1000hp vette designed for a ½ mile event, I now knew my competitions capabilities, and I had the log file needed to dial the car in for a roll run. The subsequent runs against an EVO and the 800hp 996 showed I’d sorted things out pretty well for the roll hit. Next the roll race against Adam and his KS Snails car where we were door to door the entire track told me I was in the sweet spot setup wise. (I still don’t know who won that race, couldn’t tell from inside the car) Some parting words of wisdom from the “Old Man” Never Ever show your cars true potential the day before a money race! I made all runs on Friday on low boost (36psi) Kill mode for my car is 42psi :-)
