Had a bad day today though, went to the horse auctions - not for horses I will say - but to get reasonable priced rugs etc for the ones here. And the saddest sight ever of a 20year thoroughbred, with legs that were so scarred and misshapen thats head just hung on the floor. I couldnt just leave him, so waited till the end just to make sure he was safe. Somebody was bidding on him (not meat man) so thought he was safe, so left him, then was told he was unsold. I came away feeling bad, so then phoned auctioneers to follow up his fate, they say there is someone interested, I am just praying they buy him off the seller...Why as a human race do we do this to our animals. Please dont let me look at the horses again I come away so depressed.
