Had a couple of new birds turn up today in my yard. i was eating lunch and could hear the birds going off out the side of our house so i grabbed my camera to go see what was stirring them up. The babblers and a magpie were fluttering round in the gum tree trying to fend of something. I was expecting to find a snake or something up there but No. I found these 2 Australasian Figbirds trying to get a feed in the palm trees that grow either side of the gum. Trouble was the normal resident birds werent to happy with them being here. After about an hour or so they were still here but the locals had gotten used to them and gone off to do what they do
