Had a discussion with another english major that went well up until she mentioned the biggest issue with Fantasy is that theres only white people. I mean I didnt say anything, but like Well Your skin color is reliant on the sun. If everyone lives within travel distance of one another, theyre gonna have the same skin color. This is why my books have multiple continents. Yes, you should have some diversity if it makes sense, but youre going to need a bigger world to accommodate the different cultures, which most people dont do due to the effort required to make one. Think of it like this, Elder scrolls has several types of human and elf, and they all come from different countries. I dont even know why Im typing this when I somewhat agree with her. But only if its a massive-scale world.
