Had a door-to-door missionary invite me to celebrate the death of Jesus. He was trying to sneakily prove to me that we will live forever on earth. He didnt like much that I really dont care how Jesus will set up His Kingdom. That is an argument that divides Christ Followers. I dont need to argue about the color of the carpeting. Who am I to judge the Lords plans? Who are you to judge the Lords plans? What He shares with us in the Word is enough because regardless of what that looks like, I will be there! The doctrine I believe is most important is this: Jesus lived a sinless human life. He died a horrible physical and spiritual death to become the sacrificial Lamb for you and me....for everyone...and He rose again; resurrected on the third day. He predicted His death and resurrection. His death is payment for all my sins; everyones sin. When I chose to accept the free gift that no work I could ever do could begin to pay Him....I will get to spend eternity with my Heavenly Father, My Lord forever. My response is love. Your will be done is asking Him to change my heart to His will. On that first day, I am going to run to Him like a Prodigal Son....I will be so grateful to be finally HOME. Odd, that missionary wouldnt let me pray for him. Said he didnt need my prayers because he prays enough...he practically ran off my porch when I told him Jesus Good News. I pray for him anyway!
