Had a fun morning riding in dealing with all the law abiding drivers. On Alma no one I saw was under 42. Yes they have a radar speed sign. Posted limit is 35 so that is 20% over the limit. Pretty much what everyone does on that road. Where is PAPD? Then on Park a driver waited, blocking his lane, to make a U-turn until the car in front of me went by then cut me off to try to get into the open parking space on the other side. Of course he can’t complete the maneuver and has his entitled butt blocking half the right lane and the bike lane. I get the ‘I didn’t see you’ look. Wrong. He miss judged my speed and has no driving ability for this turn which is illegal in three ways… (Per the CVC) Then after the jog on Park, there is a woman wobbling along in the right lane and bike lane, slowing, weaving, braking, and accelerating. No clue there is anyone else on the road. Finally she stops in the right lane nearly hitting the stop sign… The last one is a runner out on the road. At least he is heading towards me but he is in the right lane with his ear buds on. He is required to be on the sidewalk not in the car lane. Who knows which way he will go as I approach. I’ve seen others out running on the yellow line before. At lunch there is a road I take with right lane that splits to form a sweeping right turn to another street and the main lane goes straight. Drive CAReens past on the left then pulls over just past the start of the split and comes to a dead stop blocking the right turn. No signals, no flashers, and makes a grab at his GPS…. I’m just glad no one else is following me and wants to make the sweeping right and has to plow me over to complete the turn because I’m going straight and need to be in the middle of the lane. That is my 3 plus for the day. It should be a safe ride home now.
