Had a great day doing field work with my girls. I am so pleased with both of them. Its been over a year since weve had any real training or seen real training grounds and youd never have known with how well they did. KC did a land triple and nailed every duck retrieve like a champ. Her water retrieves were successful but her swimming is atrocious. And Blaze, well Im am just thrilled with how well she did. Shes only worked ducks in our back yard yet she went out there today and retrieved every duck like she was a pro. A few behavioral issues, but her genes told her exactly what to do with those ducks, both on land and water. And of course we had Dusty along to oversee the girls activities and clearly its very taxing. Need to find some more opportunities to train between now and the GR Nationals in October. Would love to get Blazes WC there. Anybody in Northeast NC or Southeast VA that wants to do some field training, give me a holler. Im ready.
