Had a great day with April again today. I am still amazed daily by the things she is doing and how far she has come. She has made some great advancements this week from things she was doing last week. I had two people that work at the hospital tell me that it has been amazing how dedicated I have been to April and her therapies and that they were amazed by the communication between April and I even in the beginning when she wasnt talking at all. I thanked them both and said I think its a trust thing she has always known she could trust me and I would be there for her and I would do anything for her. One of them said thats what Moms are for and I said actually she is my stepdaughter and she said no freakin way step moms dont have that kind of attitude towards their step children and I said well I do I love them like they were my own. Made me feel really good that someone noticed the amount of time and love I have shown April these last 42 days. I know she still has a long road ahead of her but she is strong and she will get there. I am happy she is going home I hope she will be happier in her own surroundings and keep up the great work she has been doing keep praying for her daily.
