Had a great time at the Bay Area open today. Three very enjoyable games against three very cool opponents. The Championships were sold out at 128 entrants. I decided on Dark Angels with Space Marine allies. Typical of my usual list lately. I decided to put Dark angels as primary, figuring I had a better shot at best Dark Angel Player than best Space Marine. My first Round vs Chaos Space Marine with Daemon allies was a win. A Tzeench summoning factory list. I took both primary, and secondary. The final score was 9 to 2 in my favor. Round two was a loss vs Necrons: Barges and Croissants, Primary was Kill Points. I probably should not have split my units, and instead created a mobile castle. Michael played a solid game. He won Primary mission, and I got the Secondary mission. Final score, 5 to 4 in his favor. Round three was against Space Marine (drop pods and invisible centurions with Tigurius) and White Scar allies. My opponent played very well, but my mobility won the day for me. Final score 10 to 1. So after three rounds I am in 20th place over all. I am not the top Dark Angel player though. That guy is in 19th place... lol. I am likely to face him in round one tomorrow. Should be fun. I am definitely looking forward to day two.
