Had a great work day with the Kailash Ecovillage, community garden team. We weeded,thinned Carrots.finished harvesting nearly 300 winter squash, harvested the last beds of Potatoes, prepped beds and seeded,Bok Choy, Napa Cabbage, Chard, Asian Greens and a white clover cover crop. Shared out the bounty and got to eat yummy Melons we had grown ;), and now Im sitting down to a wonderful meal made with everything from our garden . Rather than take the easy path and blame others for our climate issues, I decided taking some personal responsibility, and removing myself from the industrialized agricultural system might be a positive step. Only time will tell, in the meantime I love growing food and working in a communitarian way, and DAMN, does the food taste SSSsssssoooo much better,MMmmm
